John Hirt Construction was founded in Madison, WI and is a tribute to our owner Austin Burley’s late grandfather. He lived his life according to three main tenets: Faith, Family, and Integrity. These are our same operating values.

Roofing in Austin’s family goes back to when his grandfather returned from serving in Vietnam and began roofing in 1972. Roofing was how he supported his family and how Austin does the same.

Despite not being the flashiest vehicle, Austin currently drives his grandfather’s ‘98 Silverado with intentions to completely restore it through the success of the company. He says it still smells like fishing with John as a child.
